Emeria Mugonzibwa defends her PhD thesis

On Monday May 24, 2004 Emeria Mugonzibwa defended her PhD thesis entitled “Need and demand for orthodontic treatment in Tanzania”. Her research was a combined project between the former Department of Orthodontics at the University of Kuopio, Finland (Professor Tellervo Laine-Alava), the Department of Prevention and Community Dentistry of the Muhimbili University of Health Sciences (MUCHS) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where Emeria is an assistant lecturer, the World Health Collaborating Centre, located at the Dental School in Nijmegen, and our department. Emeria worked from 1997 till the end of 1993 for several periods here in Nijmegen, while she was performing the field work for her thesis in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
